Beach Wedding in Wailea
About a week before the wedding, I got a really lovely email from a woman named Barbara. Barbara was reaching out for her son Trevor and soon-to-be daughter-in-law Reya. They decided they wanted to skip a large wedding. They just wanted to elope and get married on Maui. I surprisingly had a last-minute availability. Which I typically don’t. It was meant to be! This beach wedding in Wailea was so lovely, and everything (even last minute!) was pulled together perfectly!
I reached out to my friends at Maile Maui Weddings and explained to them what was going on. They got in touch with Barbara and the plan was set in motion! Maile Maui Weddings coordinated beautifully pulling a great team together to get the wedding just right for this lovely couple! Everyone was on point! The florist, Petals, created a beautiful haku for the bride. And the bouquet was magnificent. The hair and makeup artist Amelia Vandament created a stunning look for Reya.
Probably on of the most exciting parts of the wedding for Trevor was that the guitarist used to perform with Bruddah Iz. It was such a big deal because Trevor’s favorite song is Somewhere Over the Rainbow and to have it performed by someone who used to actually play with the MASTER of Hawaiian Music was really special.
They had a very simple ceremony at Po’olenalena Beach. We had a spectacular sunset that night. We stayed at that beach for the session and got some really lovely photos of the couple on the beach and enjoying the sunset together.
Trevor and Reya: Congratulations on your beautiful beach wedding in Wailea! We loved being a part of your last minute elopement!
