Charming Wedding Ceremony at the Kukahiko Estate
Leah and Robert got married at an charming wedding ceremony at the Kukahiko Estate.
The first thing that made this ceremony extra special was that Leah incorporated her three children. Her oldest daughter, Emmy, played the ukulele as she walked down the aisle. As her mother walked down the aisle, Emmy continued to play. During the ceremony Emmy played a song on the piano and sang. What a talented young woman! My first though was, “I can’t believe she is only fifteen!”
It was a ceremony full of love and family and a lot of little special things that made it unique to them. After the wedding ceremony, we did some family portraits and headed out to the rocks on the Kukahiko Estate. Those rocks are one of my favorite places to shoot! That evening, we got a really lovely sunset. Just as the sun was setting, I got super excited! Thankfully, Leah and Robert were super patient with me. They got a fully arched rainbow behind them up on the mountain! And the way the light was casting onto the West Maui Mountains was something I just had to showcase for them. They waited patiently atop the lava rock as I stepped way back and go really far away from them so I could get some really wide shots of them on the lava rock jetty.
We ended our portrait session with a few shots of them in their Maui Roadster which is always fun. Finally, they drove away into the sunset for their reception at Gannon’s.
Leah and Robert: What a wonderful, charming wedding ceremony at the Kukahiko Estate! I loved how you incorporated your family into your wedding. What a way to start your marriage! Congratulations!
