Earlier this year, Haley contacted me in the hopes of having some romantic wedding re-do photos in Maui while she was here celebrating her one year anniversary with her sweet husband Adam. Of course, I promptly emailed her back saying “absolutely!

Let’s make it happen!”…but in my head I was really thinking “SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL YESS!”. To do bridal portraits without the stress and anxiety of timelines is a photographers dream!

Having a photographer not show up to your wedding is a bride’s worst nightmare. So when Haley reached out to me, I wanted to make sure I could give her and her husband memorable photos that really highlighted some special places in Maui! I knew right away that Honolua jungle and Ironwoods Beach would be the perfect locations.

We began in the tropical forest at Honolua Bay. Dripping with vines, greenery, and creamy light, the jungle offered an ethereal romantic setting. We then made our way to the beach. Warm rays of light poured over the lava rock escarpments and vivid pinks filled the sky. It was the perfect setting for wedding re-do photos.

The light in the jungle was warm and creamy, but it was nothing compared to the light we had at Ironwoods Beach! The pinks and yellows light up the sky so perfectly. They danced in the surf, snuggled on some lava rock. and dug their toes into the sand.

Safe travels back to Chicago. I hope Maui was everything you wanted it to be and more! Oh–and happy anniversary!

Leave us some love!
