Off the Beaten Path Northwest Maui Elopement
Jenna and Luke decided to elope in Maui because they love being out in nature and thought that this moment should be between the two of them. To add to that, planning a large wedding was just too stressful. So, when they first contacted me, they asked me to find them somewhere remote with spectacular scenery. Of course I had just the place for them! These two had an incredible off the beaten path Northwest Maui elopement.
One of our favorite ministers officiated their ceremony, Charles Nahale. He was awesome because when I reached out to him to let him know there was a little bit of hiking involved to get to our remote location, he was 100% down. I, however, was 37 weeks pregnant while shooting this elopement, but I really enjoyed the challenge.
It was a little bit windy that day down on the cliff, but that just added to the drama and romance of the photos. We ended up getting a spectacular sunset as we left the cliff area and went to a beach down the road. The clouds were amazing, and we had lots of pinks popping through about ten minutes after sunset. I always say that just because the sun goes down doesn’t mean we’re done shooting! Sometimes the best colors stick around for just after the sun sets.
These two had great chemistry. Luke was constantly making Jenna laugh. These are the kind of elopements I love doing because it’s all about the couple and less about all the frills and pomp and circumstance. It’s really just about the two of them, in love, on Maui, tying the knot.
Jenna and Luke: congratulations on your beautiful off the beaten path Northwest Maui elopement. I loved being part of your wedding story! I wish you the greatest adventures as you start your married life. Aloha!
