South Maui Wedding Portrait Redo
Dara and Jay got married in November in Mexico. It was a destination wedding. They originally had a destination wedding because, of course, they wanted somewhere gorgeous to get married. But they also wanted to keep the guest list down a little. Unfortunately, that didn’t really happen. Even though, they said it was the BEST DAY of their lives and they loved sharing it with everyone. At their wedding, they spent so much time hanging out with their family and getting family shots, they didn’t get a lot of time to have romantic shots. They knew that when they came to Maui for their delayed honeymoon they wanted to get some romantic shots on the beach. Dara brought her gorgeous wedding dress and had her hair and makeup done by Maui Makeup Artistry. (She looked amazing!) And then we set out on our South Maui wedding portrait redo adventure.
We had some rain storms that week. Usually, we don’t have rain down in Kihei, but we had some sprinkles move through earlier that day. Most of the rain stayed up in the mountains, and that actually made for some really cool shots. We even got a rainbow in South Maui that evening during our shoot which is super unusual to have a rainbow on that side of the island.
This couple had chemistry for miles. We got so many romantic shots of these sweethearts. I’m so glad they thought ahead for their trip to make time for a wedding redo photo shoot!
Dara and Jay; Thank you so much for allowing me to take this special South Maui wedding portrait redo for you! I’m so glad you two got the sweetheart photos you weren’t able to get at your wedding in Mexico.
